Consumer Awareness and Education
Plattsburgh Distributing is proud to participate in the fight against alcohol abuse. Through our participation in community events, educational programs, and advertising campaigns, we seek to promote responsible drinking and help prevent underage drinking and drunk driving.
Our efforts go beyond public information programs. We educate retailers in ways designed to prevent the consumption of adult beverages by those who are under age, and by those who might be impaired.
Alcohol awareness and education programs should emphasize personal responsibility in the home, in schools, and where alcohol beverages are served and sold.
Plattsburgh Distributing knows that tackling alcohol abuse requires a team approach involving parents, teachers, community organizations, law enforcement officials, the alcohol beverage industry, prevention authorities, beverage retailers and many others. Through the years, we as wholesalers, together with our partner, Anheuser-Busch have built alliances with individuals and groups, as well as with government agencies that have resulted in the positive progress to prevent abuse. And, by working together in the future, we can continue making a difference in the fight against alcohol abuse and illegal underage drinking.
Since 1982, Anheuser-Busch and its nationwide team of independently owned wholesale distributors -- including Plattsburgh Distributing -- have invested more than $350 million in more than two dozen community-based programs and national campaigns to enhance consumer awareness and education regarding alcohol consumption.
